Young Creatives Scheme

About the project

Breaking Barriers often work in educational settings to tell unheard stories, change perceptions and empower the future generation of creatives. The Young Creatives Scheme was a project with year 10 students at Falinge Park High School to co-create a binaural sound piece on the topic of ‘What Rochdale Means To Me’.

The group of young people were from a diverse background of established communities and new arrivals, with languages in the room ranging
from Jamaican to French, Polish to Urdu.

The Young Creatives Scheme is an Immersive Creative Experience for young people to learn, explore and co-created under the support of Breaking Barriers’ director, producer and sound engineer.
